Sunday's at Church

So woke up this morning- glad that I had an extra hour of sleep because I needed it.

Got ready for church. Ate on accident, then I realized it was fast Sunday- but since I hadn't been eating much anyway, I figured since I ate already, I should just really eat. then maybe I wouldn't faint or get dizzy.

Anyway I go to church, feeling sad that she wasn't there.

[Something funny, people keep coming up to me asking me how I am, and how I am getting along without mum- I say "oh well it's lonely" (or something like that) they reply something to this extent "yeah now you have to do the dishes and the laundry, and keep the house clean..."
This amuses me because, 1. they are trying to lighten the mood. 2. because my mum has had me doing my own laundry since I was 12- laundry is not a new concept. I've been cooking by myself for at least as long as I've been doing laundry. Living in a single parent home- I've cleaned a lot. Actually just being in a single parent home has prepared me a bit. Mum was really the reason for it all anyway.
So it's not the fact that she's gone that's making me lonely and sad- it's WHY she's gone.]

Started leaking a bit.

Then Sis. Gutherie came up to me and asked where she was- I told her and she immediately asked how she was, and invited me to diner. ( Which I couldn't go to their house for, I was at the hospital- but they were so sweet to actually bring it to me! The food was great! I was grateful!)

Then Sis. Kanet asked me what she and the sisters could do to help.

Then multiple Sisters offered to give me rides home from the hospital.

Rebbecca took me to see mum, and stayed there a good 3 1/2 hours!

While we were at the hospital, Sis. Hoagland called and asked if I needed a ride home.

My ward is awesome.

I used to be against saying one ward was above the other- but I've got to say it, I've got the best ward ever. I am so grateful for our ward family and their willingness to help out. They are awesome.

My family is pretty amazing too.
My Aunt is so sweet- worried that I'm not getting food, she's sending some money to help.
My Grandmother calls to make sure I've doing okay.
Love them.

So to anyone who has helped us- from both my Mother and I- Thank you!!
We really appreciate it, and hope to be able to return our gratitude and the service to you.

How Things are Going

So, Mum is still in the Hospital.
I think if I posted pictures of her or even took pictures of her- she would be mighty annoyed at me. So, maybe later.

Let me just say without the moral support of the family I might just be in a corner crying. Our ward is pretty amazing too. They have been really really great about giving me lifts to the hospital.

Our Home Teachers especially, Brother Hoagland drove me all around on Thursday, to go to the Hospital, Car impound, mum's work.

It was a long day- from 10:30 to 4:30.

Then Friday, Roger dropped me off at the hospital, and I was going to take the bus to church for the ward Halloween party (Mum was insistent that I go), but then Sister Hoagland called and said she was going to be in the area around the hospital, and asked if I needed a ride.

Then on top of that she took me to her home and fed me some food (I have not been very good about feeding myself- I just forget. I know weird.) Then took me to the ward party.

Amazing.

Then later, after I was home and time and thinking again. My Grandmother, and Aunt called to check up on me- offer moral support.

Then Nancy called to take my mind off things and distract me- something she is a pro at.

I am so grateful, for the support I have had.

Car

Here's the car- it sucks

yeah small fender bender. okay.

Mum

So Last Night I got a call from Mum's phone- conversation goes as follows (italics are my thoughts)
MP (Mum's Phone): *calls*
Me: Hey Mum! What's Up?
MP: Hi this is so and so from the Fire Dept.
Me: Uh-oh Yes?
MP: Is this Bethany?
Me: Yes
MP: You mother was involved in a small fender-bender accident- she's alright.
Me: Small Fender-bender? Why is the Fire Dept. Talking to me then?
MP: We are taking her to .... Hospital
Me: She's Okay? if she was okay why is she going to the hospital, and a Small Fender Bender?
MP: Since she's had some back trauma in the past. She just wanted me to call and let you know so you wouldn't freak out.
Me: ... Hospital? Freak out? what's there to freak out about- she only got in a small fender-bender and the fire dept. is calling from her phone! There is nothing to freak out about!
MP: Yes. Alright then Good Night!
MP: *Click*

Okay I can't really remember the last bit, all I remember is that it ended fast.
anyway- not a small fender-bender, Car is totaled. Mum broke two bones in her leg, her ankle and her wrist. All on her Left side. She told the Guy to go easy on me.

All I can say is Thank goodness for Home Teachers and Ward Families-
I feel that I am in WAY over my head.
I might go crazy without their moral and car support.
:]
So, for the next few days I'm going to be pretty busy. Call (email me if you need my number) me if you want to send her something.
Or offer me more moral support- trust me I need it.

Sunday

So yesterday mum and I go to Church, we were a bit late so we just rush in find and find a spot.

It was the Primary program, love watching those little kids.
Mum pointed out one and said "That was Adam in primary." This little kid was squirming and didn't keep his arms folded etc. just a little rebel- almost as cute as Adam as a kid too. =]

Sacrament ends and as I am going to Sunday school and I see Divina! She was back from her mission to England! I knew she was coming back in September, but for three consecutive weeks mum and I were unable to make it- due to oversleeping and sickness. Anyway She's home!

Divina was Mum's visiting teacher- the best one she's ever had. Mum loves Divina and not undeservedly so, Divina is amazing.

anyway When I get out of Sunday School- Mum is coming towards me and she excitedly says, "Divina is Home!!" I nod, mum continues "She's speaking in Monte Bello ward today!" (Monte Bello is the Spanish-speaking ward in our stake- their Sacrament meeting takes place during the last hour of our three hour block.) "Lets go and listen!"
I look at her- "Mum, she's going to be speaking in Spanish."
"I know!"
"You won't understand it"
Reed pipes up saying "I'll translate!"
Mum says "You speak Portuguese."
"Well their close enough" -Reed

At any rate, Mum goes and sits in the Monte Bello ward's Sacrament and listens to Divina.

Love her. Even though she can't understand what Divina is saying, she loves and respects her enough to go and listen.
(Granted the Spirit has no language barrier.)

She's cute. We invited Divina for dinner next week.

Gravestone

My dad went back to heaven this year, though he had been ill a very longtime he was stubborn and not ready to go. But when he decided it was time, we couldn't do anything to keep him with us even for a short while. I know he has gone back to Heavenly Father and that we will be together again. Families are eternal. My brother commissioned the perfect headstone. If any of you know, my dad was a greaser and has an awesome truck that was like another member of the family. It is resting in the garage. When it goes to heaven it will be white :). Thanks so much to Freddie who made this tombstone possible and going the extra mile to make it right. I love you.
