Car

Here's the car- it sucks

yeah small fender bender. okay.

Mum

So Last Night I got a call from Mum's phone- conversation goes as follows (italics are my thoughts)
MP (Mum's Phone): *calls*
Me: Hey Mum! What's Up?
MP: Hi this is so and so from the Fire Dept.
Me: Uh-oh Yes?
MP: Is this Bethany?
Me: Yes
MP: You mother was involved in a small fender-bender accident- she's alright.
Me: Small Fender-bender? Why is the Fire Dept. Talking to me then?
MP: We are taking her to .... Hospital
Me: She's Okay? if she was okay why is she going to the hospital, and a Small Fender Bender?
MP: Since she's had some back trauma in the past. She just wanted me to call and let you know so you wouldn't freak out.
Me: ... Hospital? Freak out? what's there to freak out about- she only got in a small fender-bender and the fire dept. is calling from her phone! There is nothing to freak out about!
MP: Yes. Alright then Good Night!
MP: *Click*

Okay I can't really remember the last bit, all I remember is that it ended fast.
anyway- not a small fender-bender, Car is totaled. Mum broke two bones in her leg, her ankle and her wrist. All on her Left side. She told the Guy to go easy on me.

All I can say is Thank goodness for Home Teachers and Ward Families-
I feel that I am in WAY over my head.
I might go crazy without their moral and car support.
:]
So, for the next few days I'm going to be pretty busy. Call (email me if you need my number) me if you want to send her something.
Or offer me more moral support- trust me I need it.

Sunday

So yesterday mum and I go to Church, we were a bit late so we just rush in find and find a spot.

It was the Primary program, love watching those little kids.
Mum pointed out one and said "That was Adam in primary." This little kid was squirming and didn't keep his arms folded etc. just a little rebel- almost as cute as Adam as a kid too. =]

Sacrament ends and as I am going to Sunday school and I see Divina! She was back from her mission to England! I knew she was coming back in September, but for three consecutive weeks mum and I were unable to make it- due to oversleeping and sickness. Anyway She's home!

Divina was Mum's visiting teacher- the best one she's ever had. Mum loves Divina and not undeservedly so, Divina is amazing.

anyway When I get out of Sunday School- Mum is coming towards me and she excitedly says, "Divina is Home!!" I nod, mum continues "She's speaking in Monte Bello ward today!" (Monte Bello is the Spanish-speaking ward in our stake- their Sacrament meeting takes place during the last hour of our three hour block.) "Lets go and listen!"
I look at her- "Mum, she's going to be speaking in Spanish."
"I know!"
"You won't understand it"
Reed pipes up saying "I'll translate!"
Mum says "You speak Portuguese."
"Well their close enough" -Reed

At any rate, Mum goes and sits in the Monte Bello ward's Sacrament and listens to Divina.

Love her. Even though she can't understand what Divina is saying, she loves and respects her enough to go and listen.
(Granted the Spirit has no language barrier.)

She's cute. We invited Divina for dinner next week.

Gravestone

My dad went back to heaven this year, though he had been ill a very longtime he was stubborn and not ready to go. But when he decided it was time, we couldn't do anything to keep him with us even for a short while. I know he has gone back to Heavenly Father and that we will be together again. Families are eternal. My brother commissioned the perfect headstone. If any of you know, my dad was a greaser and has an awesome truck that was like another member of the family. It is resting in the garage. When it goes to heaven it will be white :). Thanks so much to Freddie who made this tombstone possible and going the extra mile to make it right. I love you.

Another batch!

Some more pictures, Mum and I on the topAdam, Myself and Ben on the bottom! We were showing off the quilt mum made Ben for his High School Graduation.

Professional Picture of the three of us. Siblings for eternity! Look at Ben and his sly grin!

Last of All: me in Utah- My Fifth Birthday- I got the watermelon chair (mum made it for me). I don't fit in it as well as I did then... :]

Then me cleaning beets.

Good times.

In commemoration of Adams Birthday- here are some lovely pictures. I found these while hunting for pictures. Such a treasure! I love these- Ben and Adam at their truest!

Not to mention my adorable mum. <3>

I just wish I could've physically been there to grow up with my brothers when they were really young! Like in these pictures.

of course that would mean that by now I would be in my late twenties....

So pro's and con's

anyway I'll probably post some more pics as I find and scan them.

Thoughts on Adams birthday

I have been thinking much about birthdays. Today is Adams 30th birthday, where does the time go, and where was I while it was rolling by? I know I was there, for I remember being a young mom and felt that the crying babies and endless laundry would never end. I wasn't paying good enough attention because it did end in a blink of an eye.
Just yesterday my little toddler was sitting in the chair with his beautiful happy face sporting a huge pair of sunglasses. He was pulling down the tv on himselft, giving him those evenly placed scars from the knobs; and he was shredding his arm from bike riding on the hill. He was in scouts and playing with Suzie. His heart was so big and loving.
I witnessed and partook in the events. Cradled his head and held his heart while he poured out the tears and poured out mine to God for him and we kept on going. In a moment it is all over, he is grown and I missed so much of it. I missed his adolescant time, I never thought that would happen but it did, and I have missed his young adult days and now his is a man, with a plan and all I can do is pay tribute to what he is making of himself for he has harnessed that strength in him, his spirit and he is becoming that which he desires and I am proud of him. I love him, my little son. Happy birthday Adam, I love you. Mum..... And as usual, I forgot to mail his card.

Socialism!

So being the red-blooded meat eating American I am, I like freedom- in fact that is to light.

I Love Freedom!

So that fact being said-

So yes, I am anti- socialism.

I like Freedom!
Strange thought, I realize- and I also realize that anyone reading this blog already pretty much knows my views.
Also to the people who say:
yes He is- but Socialism doesn't work WITHOUT him.
It is not doable-especially with such a large country.
And technically- Jesus is for a Theocracy.
In my English class we were required to set up our own Utopia-
I was increasingly frustrated with this project- because Utopia cannot exist unless the people are of one heart and one mind. Otherwise the natural, carnal man corrupts.
And when will mankind be of one heart and one mind? The Millennium.
We can't do Utopia by ourselves.
We can do the best we can- but taking away people freedoms is not the way to go.
It just depresses me to think of what the founding fathers must think of the state of the union now.
The country is the frog, and I think we are cooking- slowly becoming accustomed to having our personal freedoms stripped away.
Frankly that scares me.

I am a wuss

So mum gets home and, I've been sick- so I've just been home, being sick.

she wants to watch a movie

"how bout something for Halloween?" (prepare for Halloween :])

so she puts in "What Lies Beneath"

I haven't watched it before, when I think of a scary flick, I want to watch something like "The Others" or "Signs"

I'm pretty much a wimp.

We watched "I am Legend" on mute, with subtitles.

OK mainly that was my doing.

Did I mention that I'm a wuss?

and when I scream- I scream.

you can ask mum.

So that movie was freaky, I only screamed once when Harrison Ford opened his eyes.
if you've seen the movie, you know when I'm talking about.

So in short,

I am a wuss.

Though strangely I do enjoy a thriller.

Adjusting.

I'm adjusting to life without Deseret Book.

It's easy and Hard.

miss it- today Justin called me about something he didn't want to ask John, Marc or even Al. :]

it was nice for that moment to relive.

Here is the pen I used to sign the paper, that I knew I was being "let go" :'[
:]

it has hard however cuase I was on the bus to my new job.

which is fab.

I basically do a bunch of office stuff, work for mum, but I have to act like she's not my mum.

hard, cause it's kind of hardwired in the noggin.

We're Peanut butter and Jam for heaven's sake! (hence the song on our playlist!)

Just Finished this excellent book

available at your local Deseret Book.

sorry hard habit to break. :]

The after I finished it I was angry at Chris Stewart

a day later I thought it was the best way to end it ever.

If you haven't read this series get it! It is awesome!

Here is some pictures

I took of our adorable dogs while watching Conference.

(which was awesome gotta love those GA's :])

Petals was having fun with her bow,

that she got when she went to the groomers. :]

Brilla's pretty easy to photograph- just pet her.

or lay out your hand like you will pet her :]
